Animation Portfolio Workshop is Canada’s first and original animation portfolio preparation program. For 25 years, APW has focused on teaching students how to draw – including offering Open Life Drawing to help artists develop and maintain their drawing practice.
Open Life Drawing sessions are for artists and art students, and are open to the public. Join us and draw a live model without instruction.
Sessions take place on Mondays from 6:30-9:30pm.
These sessions are three hours long with appropriate breaks. The poses range from 30 second gestures to extended poses of ½ hour or longer.
Drawing boards, benches and a live model are provided by APW. You bring your own pencils, ink pens, graphite sticks (Lyra 9B recommended) and paper (18″ x 24″ Newsprint Pads recommended). No paints, wet media or charcoal are permitted in these sessions.
Completed registration and full payment is required before attending.
Please be respectful of others’ health and safety by assuring that you do not attend any of these sessions with any symptoms of illness such as but not limited to coughing, sneezing, runny nose, fever, lethargy, aches and pains, nausea or headache.
APW reserves the right to ask any participant to leave the session if they present with any of the above symptoms for the health and welfare of the other participants.
