The APW team was thrilled to be a partner at TAAFI 2026 (Toronto Animation Arts Festival International).
TAAFI 2026 – the perfect opportunity for professionals, students, hobbyists, or just about anyone wanting to catch up on the latest trends and industry talks, network with fellow creatives in the field, or kick back and have a great time at animation screenings! We were delighted to catch up with former APW students now working in the industry, and talk to excited young animation hopefuls at our booth.
APW Director Joshua Miller with the help of APW Instructor Jacob Rodela and APW grad Heather Mullin (playing the role of Tank Girl/model) conducted a hands-on workshop offering 2 hours of gesture drawing and action analysis.
While APW Administrative Director Bernadette Peets, and APW Founder/Direstors Gerard Sternik and Vince Peets talked drawing, art and creativity with TAAFI visitors to the APW booth. The open easel offered a fun opportunity to passers-by to draw characters, storyboard frames and any sketches that came into their rich imagination. Such a fantastic festival! We look forward to TAAFI 2027!
